Based on fred's feedback I wish to change my answer to Zip Zap Rap by Devistatin' Dave.

Fred, you seem to be having some trouble framing your argument. While you want to argue that it's the listenership that makes an artist "white," you went to great pains to negate the true Cuban-ness of the Buena Vista Social Club because of one white member, when all you would have to do is continue to frame your original argument...you were trying to prove something you already said wasn't a factor...
I'm sure that if you were to argue your listenership angle a bit more, you might end up considering that these artists, in the beginning as well as in their prime, were very much a part of their own racial community. Music is often born out of one community, be it regional, racial or both, but listenership changes and expands (as it's SUPPOSED to). SO, take it for what you will, but nearly every form of music came out of our African-American community and is now listened to by more whites than blacks - rock, jazz, funk, R&B, blues, rap and hip hop - all of these would be a tough sell as black music if you want to use your listenership argument. That leaves.... hmmm....
While you might not be able to find one argument to stick with that will prove your point, I will thank you for belittling everyone here with your "creating a college radio playlist" remark. Nothing like some good, old-fashioned snobbery that makes your point "clear."
Your snide remarks certainly haven't found many supporters here.
You're right Jim. I haven't found many supporters (wasn't looking for any, FYI) amid the clubby confines of Analog Apartment. I would imagine that's kinda the point. Also, Ry Cooder isn't a `member' of the Buena Vista Social Club. (Unless I missed something and he's suddenly an 80-year-old Cuban.) He's the drop-in American who tried to `enlighten' us. Ugh.
Your analysis of my `argument' (just observations, really) is ham-handed and overwrought. Save it. I'm just saying the list sounds like the only contributors were a bunch of white guys with narrow taste. You're welcome to tell me it sounds eclectic, but I believe we simply disagree.
Let's be done.
I am looking for Mastodon's Leviathan, Pavement's Wowee Zowee and anything Brian Eno, especially Apollo, Another Green World and Before and After Science.
Hell yeah! I got that Yes-Fragile album...not sure if its the reissue though
most of these are fairly easy to find on ebay to be honest, all it takes is the will to search. In fact nearly all of them should be affordable too since they were high sellers (the marvin is about $10 at the most).
For me the main one's i'm searching for are,
Miguel De Deus - Black Soul Brother,
Chitinous Ensemble - Chitinous Ensemble,
Eric Dolphy - Out To Lunch (west 63rd pressing)
Eric Dolphy - Eric Dolphy in Europe (Danish Debut records pressing)
Phil Ranelin - Vibes From The Tribe
M'Boom - Re-Percussion (gatefold edition)
